This month is coming to a close fast, which means I must work FASTER!  If you are not aware of what has been going on, well let me FILL you in!  In any business you start your dream about the future of your baby.  And yes this is my BABY!  You nurture every aspect about your business until it becomes what you dream of and more.  During the first faze of my business I continued to DREAM BIG.....and my DREAMS are paying off.  I purchased the old Main St Pharmacy.  Everyone has asked...What are you going to do with so much space?  Well I am opening a full service Bridal Boutique!

  The name of the business and building is..."THE BRIDAL CONNECTION"!  So schedule your GOWN or TUX fitting, book your WEDDING photographer...ME, and schedule an appointment with Patsy Lawyer at Shining Star's Wedding Decor/Coordinator.  Potential opening date is June 1, 2012!

My studio is now in full service.  I have over 3,000 sq ft to shoot in and the most amazing design that I dreamed up!  A little nervous at first but it is all coming together.  I am so excited to be bringing this FULL Bridal service business to Main St Washington, IN.  Just a reminder my photographer business is available all over the world...I am passport ready! :)

Good Morning!! My studio is so close to being done!! I just want to give a huge thanks to the amazing kids who have helped me during this crazy time!! I will be posting a shot of these amazing students in my new studio in a couple weeks! Love to my High School Students!!! I will be also posting some before and after shots! If you didn't know I bought the old Main St Pharmacy. I have always wanted a one stop bridal shop, so now I am going to have it!! Shining Star Wedding Coordinator/Decorator/Rental will be joining in the fun! We will also have bridal gown and more!! I am looking forward to bringing something amazing to Main St Washington, IN! I know most of you are wondering what I am going to do with ALL that SPACE! Well....my goal is to turn it into a one stop wedding shop! This is my dream and I can't wait to share it with everyone!! I am so excited to bring something new to Main St. Our Main St has improved so much and I feel it is time to bring more recognition to heart of the town! If you are out walking past and you see my truck stop on in and say Hello!! I am so proud of my accomplishments and am eager to share with everyone that has been amazing clients and future clients! Life Changing Week

Good morning all!  This week my life is about to change for the better!  I am so excited about sharing my news with you all, but I have to wait until Wednesday.  I am a little superstitious!  Not the black cat type, but sharing amazing news and then it doesn't happen.  Everything has been happening so fast for my business.  My boudoir is going so strong and is only getting stronger!  My Weddings are going towards the Destination side, which is what I have always wanted.  It can only get better!

My husband has been amazing.....putting up with my crying, crabbiness, non stop working, and freaking out.  Your the best honey....I love you!!

To my kids...thank you for your patience, just know that your momma is not crazy, I just love my business and it is my 3rd child and it needs nurturing so it can grow to a level that is beyond all of my dreams.  Just like you guys...I couldn't be anymore prouder than I am of both of you...I love you!!

So my thoughts are if you see it, work at it, love it, it will be all that you dreamed of.  Thank you to my amazing clientele you are also the reason I am where I am today!  You are the best!!

My trip to Chicago

Good morning all!  I have been meaning to post this for a while now, but as we all know I am horrible at blogging!! ;)  Going to Chicago to  see one of my favorite photographers that I have followed for sometime now, was AMAZING.  This was not like any other seminar that I have ever attended before....in a good way.  I learned so much from Jasmine Star.  She really didn't talk about her equipment or lighting so much, just the connection as a photographer that we have with our clients.  She was bubbly, fun, and she loves to talk with her hands!  I love that....my husband makes fun of me for talking with my hands.   Anyway what I took away from J* was as a photographer we are part of an amazing community.    What I mean by that is that Wedding Photographers are a special group and we need to stick together.  Working together will create a great atmospher in our community.  I like the idea knowing if I am booked or if I am out of a brides price range I have another Wedding Photographer that I can send them too and they will do the same!  So any of you local Wedding Photographers want to connect call me! ;)

How did you get Engaged??

With wedding season approaching fast it makes me think back when my husband proposed to me.  I know some girls feel that getting a ring on a holiday is a cliché, however, I am not one of those girls…I got my ring on Christmas Eve. 

 Ok so picture this… Tree lit, candles glowing, fireplace blazing, favorite wine perfectly chilled, and my favorite Christmas music playing in the background.  So here is the funny part I basically set up my own proposal without knowing…yep that happened!  Dan walked in to the most perfect setting.  He wanted to give me a present early so I agreed because I had one for him anyway…. The kind that is not normally opened in front of the kids if you get my drift! (lingerie;)  He ask me for an extension cord, first thing I though was “he bought me a power tool really!!!”  He had me close my eyes and wait for the perfect moment.  I am not one for surprises but this was fun.  I opened my eyes and he had the most adorable merry-go-round playing for me.  As I watched all of the little people go around the light from all of the Christmas decoration caught the sparkle in the most beautiful diamond ring.  I was shocked!!!  After I screamed and cried for a moment, he picked up the ring and asked the big question…

“I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, Will You Marry Me!!

Alyssa and Aaron

My first wedding of the year!! 

It was a cold day in January, but my wedding party kept it fun as they bounced around to stay warm..... well the ladies bounced around and the guys did when asked for a fun shot.  My bride, groom, and I all prayed for snow for some fantastic snow shots.  Well we got snow alright...... A WHOLE INCH!

But thats ok it went on with out a hitch.  My favorite memory of the day is when Aaron turned to Alyssa for the first look.  As you will see from the pictures it was very moving.  I know this will come to a shock to all but I cried! 
I am so happy that I was included in Aaron and Alyssas FABULOUS day!

Boudoir Success
